both louisa may alcott and our lord and savior greta gerwig said hell nah and y’all are still out here just ignoring. like i know there’s always the point that as jo was the ‘boyish’ one and not ‘ladylike’ of course she’d get shorthanded but the truth is starting a school and writing books with your weird german professor who loves you seems pretty damn nice, but a) laurie and jo are too similar, b) amy is just right for the world laurie lives in; wealthy, judgemental, constrictive, but still not afraid to speak her mind (and clearly in love with laurie) and c) jo never wanted that life anyways.
and so concludes my take on the controversial romantic world of little women (1868-2019).
edit: i just found out that louisa may alcott in fact might not have wanted jo to get with anyone anyway and put her with a german scholar cause she had to, and. sorry, louisa.
